Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. recently announced the launch of the RCG e3 thick film rectangular surface mount resistor, the industry's first green, RoHS compliant thick film rectangular surface mount resistor with no exceptions. It uses a completely lead-free resistor body and pure tin solder contacts, and is coated with a metal glaze on high-quality ceramics. It has passed AEC-Q200 certification and has a stability rate of 1% after 1000 hours at+70 ℃. RCG e3 adopts external dimensions of 0603, 0805, and 1206, with TCRs of ± 100ppm/K and ± 200ppm/K, a resistance range of 1 Ω to 10 Ω, and a 0 Ω jumper with resistance tolerances of ± 1% and ± 5%. The rated power dissipation of the device is 0.100W to 0.250W, and the operating voltage is 75V to 200V. Currently, in processes that comply with RoHS standards, the fifth process allows the use of lead in resistors. However, to achieve a higher level of environmental protection than the current RoHS requirements, designers need to use green, RoHS compliant products without any exceptions. RCG e3 enables designers to meet the demanding requirements of using fully lead-free thick film resistors in consumer, computer, automotive, industrial, and communication equipment. RCG e3 can now provide samples and has achieved mass production. The standard lead time for ordering is six to eight weeks.diode
