conductors. But tantalum capacitors use tantalum dioxide as the dielectric, which has a very high dielectric constant and can therefore provide greater capacitance in the same volume.

4、 Classification

According to the different cathode materials, tantalum capacitors can be divided into two categories:  diode,

1. Liquid electrolyte tantalum capacitor: Using liquid electrolyte as cathode material, it has good capacitance performance, but poor stability in high temperature environment.

2. Solid tantalum capacitor: using conductive polymer as cathode material, although the capacitance is slightly lower than that of liquid electrolyte tantalum capacitor, it has better stability and high temperature resistance.

5、 Electric field strength

The electric field strength of tantalum electrolytic capacitors refers to the strength of the electric field established in their dielectric material, which determines the voltage resistance and stability of the capacitor. High electric field strength means that capacitors can operate stably at higher operating voltages, but excessive electric field strength may cause dielectric material breakdown and damage to capacitors. Therefore, when designing tantalum capacitors, careful selection of materials and structures is necessary to ensure both high electric field strength and prevention of dielectric material breakdown.diode

6、 Installation

When installing tantalum electrolytic capacitors, the following points should be noted:

1. Choose tantalum electrolytic capacitors with appropriate capacity and voltage level to ensure that they meet the requirements of the circuit.

2. Avoid excessively bending the pins during installation to prevent damage to the capacitor.

3. Pay attention to the polarity of the capacitor. Tantalum electrolytic capacitors have positive and negative poles, and the correct polarity should be maintained when connected, otherwise it may cause damage to the capacitor.

4. Ensure that the welding process temperature is moderate to avoid damage to the capacitor caused by overheating.

5. During installation, attention should be paid to preventing static interference, using static eliminators or grounding operations to protect capacitors from damage.diode
