Preface

Recently, Charging Head initiated a limited-time group-buying event for a 45W charger from Bossta. The product features cutting-edge gallium nitride technology design. Moreover, compared to previous versions, the charger has been upgraded to support UFCS and SCP fast charging protocols, further enhancing overall compatibility to meet the fast-charging needs of electronic devices from major brands.

This issue features a detailed teardown of this charger, allowing group purchase participants to understand the product's actual craftsmanship and materials. Let's take a closer look.

Beishida 45W Gallium Nitride Charger Unboxing



The front of the packaging box is printed with a product appearance diagram and name.



The back is printed with precautions and merchant information.



The packaging contains a charger and a certificate of conformity.



The Beishida charger adopts the same appearance style design as the Apple 20W fast charger. The input end and side of the body are integrated with a white shell, with a high gloss surface treatment. At the same time, the transition on both sides is rounded, and the output end shell is gray in color.

Using ChargerLAB POWER-Z KM003C, it was measured that the USB-C port of the charger supports UFCS, QC3.0/4+, FCP, SCP, AFC, PD3.0, PPS, DCP, and Apple 2.4A charging protocols.



The PDO message shows that the USB-C port has five fixed voltage levels of 5V3A, 9V3A, 12V3A, 15V3A, and 20V2.25A, as well as two PPS voltage levels of 3.3-11V3A and 3.3-21V2.25A.



In addition, it was measured that UFCS fusion fast charging has a voltage range of 3.4-11V3A.

Disassemble the top shell of the output and package it using ultrasonic welding technology.



Remove the PCBA module with a contact powered input design.



The measured length of the PCBA module is 31.19mm.



The width is 24.62mm.



The thickness is 9.51mm.



The bottom and top of the PCBA module are covered with blue thermal pads to help dissipate heat.



Removing the thermal pad, the front of the motherboard is equipped with delay fuses, common mode inductors, high-voltage filtering electrolytic capacitors, transformers, output filtering solid-state capacitors, and other devices, which are reinforced with glue. At the same time, the primary stage is equipped with Maillard isolation insulation.



The back of the motherboard is equipped with a rectifier bridge, a main control chip for switching power supply, optocouplers, and a synchronous rectifier chip.



The input end is equipped with a delay fuse and an NTC thermistor.



The specification of the delay fuse is 2A250V.



Black NTC thermistor is used to suppress surge current during power on.



On one side of the board, there are common mode inductors, I-shaped inductors, two high-voltage filtering electrolytic capacitors, and a blue Y capacitor.



Common mode inductors are used to filter out EMI interference and are insulated with heat shrink tubing for protection.
