Vishay launches new ECL series SMD aluminum capacitors

Recently, Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the launch of a new series of surface mount (SMD) aluminum capacitors that can operate at+105 ℃, with low impedance, high capacitance, and ripple current. The new ECL series polarized aluminum electrolytic capacitors can be surface mounted on high-density PCBs, and these devices have non conventional and self-healing electrolytes. To achieve high-temperature operation, its heat-resistant pad and molded bottom plate provide higher stability and protection. These devices come in six package sizes, ranging from 6.3mm x 5.80mm to larger 12.5mm x 13.5mm (width x height), and are optimized for inverter circuits, filtering, smoothing, and buffering applications in industrial systems such as audio equipment, flash memory, and diode computers, as well as consumer electronics devices. To achieve higher performance and reliability, these capacitors have a low impedance Z as low as 90mW at 100kHz, a high rated ripple current of 670mA at+105 ℃, and a capacitance range of 10 μ F to 1500 μ F in the voltage range of 6.3V to 100V. These ECL devices that comply with IEC 60384-4/EN 130300 have a lifespan of up to 2000 hours at+105 ℃. These capacitors are packaged in vacuum formed tape tray packaging, compliant with RoHS regulations, and compatible with reflow soldering and automatic insertion equipment.
