3、 Main parameters of diodes
1. Forward current IF
At rated power, the current value allowed to pass through the diode.
2. Forward voltage drop VF
The voltage drop generated between the two poles of a diode when passing through its rated forward current.
3. Maximum rectified current (average) IOM diode
The average maximum allowable half wave current in the case of continuous operation of half wave rectification.
4. Reverse breakdown voltage VB
The reverse current of the diode increases sharply to the reverse voltage value at which breakdown occurs.
5. Forward and reverse peak voltage VRM diode
The peak reverse voltage allowed for a diode to operate normally is usually two-thirds or slightly smaller than the VRM of VP.
6. Reverse current IR
The reverse current value flowing through the diode under the specified reverse voltage conditions
7. Junction capacitance C
Junction capacitance includes capacitance and diffusion capacitance. When used in high-frequency situations, it is required that the junction capacitance be less than a certain specified value.
